I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) consider the mucosa signs typical of this syndrome also known as MEN (Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia) Type 2A, an autosomal dominant disorder. These tumors are known to be neuromas but also may be lipomas, angiofibromas, etc. For a perspective see this patient’s gallery.
