Giant Congenital Melanocytic Nevus

Note what signs you see.
I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) see, believe me and if not, at least look at the gallery of images of this patient, that this image shows an early stage of an emerging melanic naevus, a late (recent) additional manifestation of the a giant congenital melanocytic Nevus (GCMN) syndrome. Note that over 1% of patients develop a melanoma, therefor GCMN is a high cancer risk hamartosis (multiple hamartomas – malformations due to an abnormal mixtures/proportions of generally normal cells – in other words a failure to form a tissue).
