I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) consider the lip tumors typical of this syndrome also known as MEN (Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia) Type 2A, an autosomal dominant disorder. These tumors usually are neuromas causing the lips and eyelids to be thickened. For a perspective see this patient’s gallery.
