Teratoma Sacrum 1c

Note what signs you see.
I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) see the results of a resection of a left sacrococcygeal teratoma described in a companion note to a pre-surgical image.
Comment: from previous observations and as anticipated, such infants are otherwise “normal” – in some instances, such infants became intellectually normal young adults – one of the difficulties is that upon reaching the age for deambulation, it is very difficult to help patients with lower limb prosthesis – often pelvic development is insufficient to sustain the mechanics of walking.
PLEASE review other existing or prospective postings of similar observations – search relying on the key term “teratoma”. Please also consult standard sources of medical information.
