Note what signs you see.
I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) see an abnormal left face associated with a large forehead tumor of benign appearance. This image underscores several clinical (semiologic) principles essential to grasp the nature of genetic or teratogenetic principles – clinical examination must be complete and must take into account relatives (genes) and environmental (teratogens – oncogenes) risks.
PERSPECTIVE: Taking into account the rest of the signs of this individual (he is a “dwarf”) and his companions (also “dwarfs”) who collectively have one or another sign characteristic of neurofibromatosis (NF1) it is almost certain that this individual has such a disorder. Please, see the related gallery of signs that are signals of NF1.
