I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) see what the title indicates. I also see that the edges of the hyperpigmented patches are jagged – often described as “coast-of-Maine”.
PERSPECTIVE: In this instance, the skin pigmentation may be a sign of post-zygotic mosaicism and a signal of a de novo mutation, thus not inherited as well as not transmissible because gonadal tissues are not likely to be affected.
