I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) see how the sharp eyes of an artist guided him to depict an individual with at least two subcutaneous tumors on the left forehead and parietal regions, one of which may be pedunculated. In addition, the eyelids are inflamed, the lips are asymmetric in position and there is a pterygium under the chin.
PERSPECTIVE: One of the possibilities is that this individual represents an instance of neurofibromatosis (NF1) – see gallery of related instances.
