I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) see this sign in a patient with a long (dolicho) arm and chest, thus suggestive of Marfan syndrome or other less common disorders associated with “dolicho – morphia” (please visit the corresponding gallery.
PERSPECTIVE: THIS SIGN MAY BE THE GATE TO EARLY RECOGNITION OF AORTIC ARTERY ANOMALIES IN OTHERWISE HEALTHY TEENAGERS.
