Note what signs you see.
I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) see flat upper lips lacking philtrum usually associated with a relatively short nose. These images demonstrate that signs observed in patients can also be observed in “normal” persons. In patients, such lips trigger suspicions of maternal alcohol consumption during pregnancy (the uncovered image of the little girl can be found in Dysmorphology Basics (A) tutorial).
