I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) see an image of lips and above them a depression (philtrum).
A clinical geneticist (CG) told the mother of this infant that the baby would have serious developmental problems.
She said she consumed a lot of wine while pregnant.
The CG said – “the shape of the lips of your baby indicate that alcohol is very unlikely to be the cause of the trouble”.
Why did the CG said so?
The answer is given next time or you may explore a video of another patient providing a clue.
