Note what signs you see.
I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) see a bent spine (vertebral column) – in Greek “scoliosis” means “bent”. There are four types: idiopathic, neuromuscular (myopathic), degenerative, and congenital. In most instances the causes unknown. Marfan syndrome and neurofibromatosis are among the leading known causes. 70% of instances are among females, it manifests mostly during the second decade of life, and the overall frequency is about 3%.
