Teleangiectasia

Note what signs you see.
I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) see “Spider Veins” (teleangiectasias) not only on the conjunctiva but on other skin areas.
PERSPECTIVE: This sign may be a signal of, among others, two hereditary disorders, one due to an autosomal dominant and the other autosomal recessive gene mutation: Hereditary Hemorrhagic Teleangiectasia (HHT – also known as Osler-Rendu-Weber) and Ataxia-Teleangiectasia (A-T). In this instance, the medical history of neurologic deterioration is strongly suggestive of A-T.
