Prenatal Chernobyl Radiation Exposures and Birth Defects
Iconic image – May 1st, 1986 children’s parade in Kyiv during the fallout of radionuclides from the burning Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant about 50 km distant. The parade was authorized by the Minister of Health demanded by the USSR Bolshevik leadership – both parties knew of the risk but remained silent.
Authorities such as World Health Organization (WHO) on behalf of radiation experts engaged by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) persistently assert that neither Chernobyl nor Fukushima radiation could possibly induce negative impacts on pregnancies. We do not know of investigations of this nature except for those conducted by our team.
