I (W. Wertelecki, M.D.) see a facies (concurrence of signs: flat nasal root, short nose, upward slant of the palpebral fissures, and inner canthi …). More importantly is that as a whole, the face is similar to those of other individuals with Down syndrome.
PERSPECTIVE: It is very provocative that this virtually unknown work by Paul Gauguin he called “Human Misery”, such name provokes our own sorts of what it may mean of those who are affected.
